Drew :: 2 years old

I debated getting Drew's 2 year old photos done by a photographer.  The problem that I have is that I take so many photos of my kids, that none feel as though they are special enough to be labeled for an important event - such as turning 2!  I decided that I would give it a try anyway.  Sophie was gone for the night with her aunt, so there were no distractions for the little man.  Sophie is also not happy unless she is in the photo herself. 
The photos that I ended up taking and calling his "2 year old photos" are special to me because, while the picture session itself took about 2 minutes, Drew and I had an entire afternoon to play tractors, tag, and cuddle.  That's probably why they're so special to me.

Feels Like Fall

It's beginning to feel like fall outside - our outdoor playtime is numbered... 

Chocolate Pudding & Giggles

Full of chocolate pudding and giggles.  When they're not fighting, they sure have lots of fun together...

"Mom, I'm big now" :: Sophie starts preschool

Our little Sophie started 3 yr old preschool today, and she couldn't have been more excited about it. 

On the way there, she was telling me that now she's a big girl...little does she know that she has a little ways to go.

I went into school with her, helped her hang up her school bag and took a few pictures (of course).  After a few snap-shots, she looks at me and says, "Mom, no more pictures.  Now go home with Drewbie."  I have to admit, I felt a little sad that she wasn't going to miss me in the least bit.  However, I also felt glad about that too...

The start of the school year for our "grown up" baby girl.
