Pumpkin Carving

This year, the kids drew the faces on their pumpkins that they wanted Daddy to cut out.

Sophie decided that she wanted to take the simple approach - nothing too fancy - eyes, nose, mouth.

Drew had another design in mind.

I'm glad that I don't have to decide what Claire will be for her first Halloween - she's so cute in both!  :)

I debated getting Drew's 2 year old photos done by a photographer.  The problem that I have is that I take so many photos of my kids, that none feel as though they are special enough to be labeled for an important event - such as turning 2!  I decided that I would give it a try anyway.  Sophie was gone for the night with her aunt, so there were no distractions for the little man.  Sophie is also not happy unless she is in the photo herself. 
The photos that I ended up taking and calling his "2 year old photos" are special to me because, while the picture session itself took about 2 minutes, Drew and I had an entire afternoon to play tractors, tag, and cuddle.  That's probably why they're so special to me.
